WILD Shares New Song; Announces Debut EP

Los Angeles trio WILD have announced their debut EP, Lace & Layers, will be released on November 2nd via Nettwerk Music Group. In advance of the EP they have shared catchy, smile-inducing single, “Just Begun.”

Discussing the EP’s title, WILD says, “It is a lyric from the song ‘Brighter Side.’ The song has to do with mental health and the way it’s treated in our society; we tend to cover up the problem and pretend everything is okay instead of confronting it.” They added, “The whole EP was produced/recorded in our apartment by us as we were going through strange times. We’re all really lucky to have each other. Most people cope with issues in relationships and day-to-day life with ‘Lace & Layers’ but as long as you can summon up the strength to be yourself through all that mess, you can find the people to help you get through the hard times.” This sentiment carries through to “Just Begun,” a song about being young and reckless, and having someone who loves you unapologetically as you grow and find your own way.
Earlier this summer WILD released the infectious sync friendly track “Here We Go” and the sun kissed hazy pop anthem “Summer.” “Summer” was also remixed by indie dance pop duo Great Good Fine Ok and dreamy Brooklyn indie rock band Savoir Adore.
WILD is comprised of Lauren Luiz (vocals), Tyler Thompson (producer/guitar) and Zach Daegatano (vocals/guitar). Their first single “Vagabond,” which they independently released, quickly surpassed a couple million streams and caught the attention of Mark Jowett (one of the founders of Nettwerk) who promptly signed them. WILD have also garnered the attention of music supervisors and have had placements in the trailers for Life Itself, The Dangerous Book For Boys and the film Little Italy they also have a placement in the upcoming Goosebumps movie. To date, WILD has over 500,000 listeners a month and over 20 million combined streams on Spotify alone having only released singles to date. In the past two years, they have played SXSW twice, performed on the Main Stage at Bottlerock Festival in Napa, CA, opened for The Spill Canvas on a national tour and played numerous local shows and festivals around Los Angeles. They currently have two upcoming dates, Pop Culture Festival in AZ and a show Tuesday at Madame Siam in LA. Details below.
